‘Ralph Breaks the Internet” is the sequel of the first film “Wreck-It Ralph” that was released in 2012. ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet” follows the story of Ralph and Vanellope , after six years saving the arcade from Turbo’s vengeance, the Sugar Rush cabinet has broken, forcing Ralph and Vanellope to travel to internet via the newly-installed Wi-Fi router in Litwalk’s Arcade to retrieve the piece capable of saving the game.
Directed by Phil Johnston and Rich Moore, the casts including John C. Riley, Sarah Silverman, Gal Gadot, Taraji P. Henson, Jane Lynch, Jack McBrayer and Alan Tudyk.
In my humble opinion, “Ralph Breaks the Internet” is not as good as its predecessor. Don’t get me wrong, I love the movie, it was fun ride but it didn’t deliver the promise of a true sequel to the things I personally enjoyed about the first film.
In my opinion, The story itself is not as strong as the original film, the first half was great, but the second half was…well, I would say rather boring. The movie also doesn’t carry over fun characters like Felix or Calhoun for anything more than cameos and that was super disappointing because they were great it the first film.
Not only that, I think in this sequel, there are too many brand advertisement and too many cameos where in the end, I didn’t really care about. The only good thing about the cameos where Venellope meet the Disney’s Princesses and the rest was…well, good but not memorable as the original.
“Ralph Breaks the Internet” wasn’t a bad movie, but also wasn’t a good movie. The movie brought an interesting concept and they can do so much more than just clever jokes.
