After the announcement of new Star Wars spinoff TV Series called “The Mandalorian” in October, CEO Bob Iger has announced that they will also make a prequel of “Rouge One: A Star Wars Story” into small screen.
According the source, the new show would act as a prequel to “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”. Diego Luna will reprise his role as Cassian Andor, the rebel alliance spy he played in the movie. According to a statement from Disney:
“The rousing spy thriller will explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire.”
“Rouge One: A Star Wars Story” became an instant hit upon it’s released in 2016, starring big names like Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Alan Tudyk, Donnie Yen and Mads Mikkelsen, earned more than $900 million worldwide.
